HANDS ON AND MAKING OWN IMAGES WITH CLAY

BASED ON NEW DOCTORAL RESEARCH ON WOMEN AND BODY IMAGE USING CLAY AS A TOOL FOR REFLECTION

BODY-IMAGE IN ART THERAPY WORKSHOPS

NEXT WORKSHOP IS 9 NOVEMBER 2019.

About

Dr Trisha Crocker is an Art Psychotherapist whose recent PhD focused on women and body image using clay as a tool for reflection. Prior to becoming an art psychotherapist she was a dancer and teacher of movement, the body and self-perception always at the fore of her thought. She works with at-risk children in an exclusion school and with young adults from her home.

The workshops are hands-on, using the medium of clay, and take place from 10 am-1pm. An opportunity for art therapists, therapists, and students of art therapy to experience the impact on clients when working with clay.

These workshops are for art therapists and students of art therapy and are just outside of Henley on Thames, Oxfordshire.

The cost of the workshop is £85.00 per person.

Workshops are limited to 6 and take place in my pottery in the countryside near Henley on Thames. The next workshop is scheduled for 9 November 2019.

The morning begins with tea, coffee and cake followed by introductions from the group, and a short explanation of my doctoral work.  The group then make their images from clay, ending with an exciting discussion relating to their clay images.
